Writing Journey
Laura Kilmartin lives in a small lakeshore town in Michigan. When she is not writing, she can be found enjoying the outdoors with her husband and three daughters, either hiking, at the beach, or tending their garden and ever-growing crew of animals. Laura enjoys to cook, scour antique shops for classic books and sip on coffee until at least noon.
Before she started writing children's literature, Laura was an Athletic Director where she enjoyed her time working within schools. It is there Laura noticed the importance of being taught kindness and acceptance of others. Laura’s goal in her writing is to give children real life examples of the goodness that lies within us all and to have children see themselves in her stories. Her writing balances important life values with humor brilliantly and leaves you wanting more.

My goal is to help you to imagine the person you want to be. Inspiring you to think of that person daily, what their habits would be. Start showing up to those habits and turn them into routines, start building step by step, day by day. Build that person through faith and unwavering trust in God.
